Q: Can we have FTP access?

A: No.  Press499.com is a fully managed, secure, reliable Wordpress environment.  All account access is managed through the Wordpress Dashboard.  We install Thesis for those interested in customizing their own theme.

Q: How do I use my domain name for my Press499.com site?

A: Domain names that you own can be mapped to your Press499.com site.  Log into your “Dashboard“, select “Tools“, “Domain Mapping“.  Add your domain name (ie: yourname.com).  Make sure you set the “@” and “www” records for your domain to point to the IP address specified in the “Domain Mapping” section of your site “Dashboard“.
